The light-footed Peter Mertes Rotwild Weissburgunder reveals an incredibly fruity taste on the tongue, which is of course due to its sweet taste profile. This light white wine presents itself light-footed and complex on the palate. Due to its fruity acidity, the Rotwild Weissburgunder is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the Rheinhessen wine-growing region delights with its beautiful length. There are again hints of pear and quince.
The basis for the elegant Rotwild Pinot Blanc from Germany are grapes from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. After being picked by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the fermentation is complete, the Rotwild Weissburgunder can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months. After the wine has been made, the Rotwild Weissburgunder is carefully harmonized.
This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It goes perfectly as an accompanying wine with spaghetti with yoghurt mint pesto, fruity endive salad or fried trout with ginger pear.
